Site Description

Location: 1750 Altadena Dr. Pasadena, CA 91107

Habitat: Desert

Dimension of Site: 768902.719800 Sq Meters (190 acres)

    This area was very dry with some dry, brown plants. It had some trees but most of the trees were up in the mountian or futher along the trail. There was many pebbles and rocks on the ground. Some specific rocks we found were the Pink Pegmatite and Milky Qurtz. The ground was mostly dust, dry, desert-like soil, and was not fertile. The ground was not smooth, it had a lot of small hills. Eaton Canyon was hot and dry during noon. The plants we saw were tobacco tree, sugar tree, lemanade tree, black sage, chapparal tree, sunflower bush, Sycamore tree, prickly pear cactus, bevertail cactus, poison oak, white sage, and yucca whippiei. Some animals we saw were birds. Some specific birds were blue birds and woodpeckers. We also some some quails. The quails moved in packs, so we saw a few of them running across a trail into a bush.
